Kaivalyadham is a famous Yoga institute near mumbai (in Lonavala). It is build with the goal to incentivize the society with spiritual values through the practise of yoga. The institute was established by Swami Kuvalayananda in 1924. This Institute is aided by Govt. of India Ministry of HRD & Govt. of Maharashtra Department of Higher & Technical Education. It is also recognized by University of Pune for Research and recognized by Council for Scientific & Industrial Research, Govt. of India as a Research Institute.

The institute also publishes the journal ‘Yoga-Mimamsa’ to present the results of scientific work which Swami Kuvalayananda had undertaken to bring out to the world, the mysteries of Yoga. He had gathered around him a team of talented workers devoted to Yoga. His excellent work in the field of Yogic Culture attracted the attention of the many national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

Along with the spiritual people or tourists, a number of patients suffering from various diseases also come to Kaivalyadham. There is a ‘Rugna Seva Mandir’ that is created for them to look after such people. As the demand arose from other places as well, the institute established its branches in Mumbai, Rajkot, Delhi, Bhopal, USA and France as well. Theseventy five long years of Kaivalyadhama’s existence has been a great landmark in its own way in the field of Indian culture and that is saying a lot about the institution.

Medicinal System of India

India is truly a land of magical charms that has captivated people all across the world. There is something enigmatic about the place.
