Booking Tickets for Travel in Indian Railways

Train travel is considered to be the most comfortable mode of transport in India. Besides traveling by train is safe and cheap as you have to pay a very reasonable fare. For you to start your journey let me firstly guide you with a few easy steps to book your tickets .It is always convenient and   comfortable if you travel under reservation category. In fact prior reservation is mandatory in all classes in Indian Railway, except in second class.

The first step towards your reservation would be to access the passenger reservation inquiry website of the Indian railways. Look for the “Accommodation on train until departure” under “Services you can use”. Click on it and then navigate a bit to get the time-table under “Indian Railways trains at a glance” Then you need to type your date of departure along with your departure and destination stations  and class of accommodation you want to travel in.

At this point of your booking in Indian railways reservation you may receive an error message, if trains are not available on that route on that day. If trains are available on that date you will be provided with a list of trains, the route, and the class available berths and the fares. If berths are not available it will show as reservation under cancellation (RAC). If at all you are very keen on traveling and are not very particular about getting a berth, you can still book a seat and occupy if cancellations are available, you will be given a berth. If at all the seats are not available you can still book your tickets, you will get a message “Waiting List” (WL). If you book under waiting list you are entitled to travel in the train only if seats and berths are available against any cancellations done by other passengers.  If tickets are available log in and enter details about the date, class and destination and departure stations and select e-ticket. Select your ticket and click on “Book ticket”. Fill up the online reservation form including your “Photo ID” details and click “Go”. Then you will be shown the details of your reservation.

Another easy way to make the Indian railway reservation is to book over the counter. You need to print in the reservation forms, fill in all the necessary details and present it at the reservation desk of any railway station. You will receive the ticket as per the availability after paying the exact sum of the ticket.

One can also find trees like blue pine, oak and birch etc. its laden with snow from November to may and june onwards city becomes a colored pardise represented by beautiful floral life.

Discovered in 1931 by the British botanist and mountaineer Frank Smythe, the Valley of Flowers is a crucial transition between the great Himalayan mountain ranges and the Zanskar. Mr. Smythe also wrote a book named “The Valley of Flowers” based on study of flora of the region. From that very book, this place got its popular name. This place has incredible floral diversity. You will also find several rare animals. Known for its marvelous alpine plant life, The Valley of Flowers has more than 300 species of flowers. Few of them are endemic and few others are endangered. Like many other beautiful places in India, The valley of Flowers also possesses few legends. Local says, this is the place from where Hanuman retrieved ‘Sanjeevani’, the magical herb which saved life of Lakshman in the epic Ramayana. Other legend says, this place is gaden of lord Indra so it’s also called ‘Nandan Kanan’.
