India is truly an amazing country. India has made significant contributions to the world civilization. To begin with, the Indus valley civilization was known to be one of the most advanced civilizations. Sushruta was a great physician during ancient India and the history books says, he conducted complicated surgeries like caesareans, brain surgery, stones, fractures, cataract, artificial limbs and plastic surgery. The earliest school of medicine was Ayurveda and that again took birth in the great land of India. It was developed by Charaka.
